Anaesthesia Cape Town (ACT) is an independent association of specialist anaesthetists founded in 2003. Our practice provides care to all the private hospital groups in the Southern Suburbs and City Bowl. At ACT our aim is twofold. We seek to provide a reliable and professional anaesthetic service to our surgeons and most importantly – safe, ethical and quality anaesthetic care to our clients.

Our approach is based on current internationally accepted guidelines and practices, and each of our specialists is registered with the Health Professional Professions Council of South Africa as a specialist anaesthetist. In addition to providing scheduled surgical cover we also deliver a comprehensive after hour’s service to our surgical colleagues – professional men and women who have come to rely on us to be there when we’re needed the most.
